When can I use referral points?

The 3,000P trial reward is usable immediately. First-payment rewards and the 1% accrual become usable after a 14-day hold plus two completed lessons (to allow for refund checks); until then they show as pending. If your friend refunds the payment, the related rewards may be cancelled or reclaimed. Points can be spent like cash on lesson plans.
